Frequently asked questions

You’ve got questions?

Good. I’ve got answers.

  • At this time, our services together are exclusively offered virtually. This enables us to enjoy enhanced flexibility to align with preferred location and scheduling requirements.

  • In short, very well. After the completion of the required paperwork we will set our first session together. This will include getting to know each other and the reason(s) we are meeting together.

After our initial session we can schedule future sessions. Overall, online therapy offers a convenient and accessible way for individuals to receive mental health support from licensed professionals, regardless of their location or mobility limitations.

  • While I understand the appeal of in-person sessions and the desire for face-to-face interaction, at the moment, we are solely offering sessions virtually. This decision was made with careful consideration for the safety and convenience of all our clients.

However, rest assured that our virtual sessions are designed to provide a supportive and effective therapeutic experience, tailored to meet your needs and preferences. If you have any concerns or specific requirements, please feel free to discuss them with me, and I'll do my best to address them within the framework of our virtual sessions.

  • The current base fee structure is set at $150 per session. Fees vary for special request, evenings, intensives, or sliding scale. Additionally, a limited number of insurance spots are also available. Fees for those services are set by the insurance company’s copay policy. In the case of insurances we can provide superbills if needed. Alternatively, there are some insurances we can file for people.

Feel free to reach out with any specific questions.

  • Overall, your first appointment is an opportunity to begin building a collaborative therapeutic relationship, gain insight into your concerns, and start working towards positive change. Therapy is a process, and our journey together is supportive toward the goals we identify every step of the way.

  • The duration of therapy varies greatly depending on individual factors such as the nature and severity of the concerns, personal goals, and response to treatment. Therapy can be effective in addressing a range of issues, but the length of therapy can differ between them.

Some enjoy the process, benefits, or security of therapy to the extent they move to a maintenance stage. This would occur after all problems identified have been addressed.

Ultimately, we will work together to determine the length of therapy collaboratively. Largely based on ongoing assessment of the progress we make together and evolving treatment needs. Our aim is to work to establish realistic goals and provide guidance based on individual and unique circumstances. It's important we communicate openly about expectations and concerns regarding the duration of therapy, as this can help ensure the most appropriate and effective treatment.

  • A Good Faith Estimate is like a rough estimate of how much services might cost you. It includes the expected fees for sessions and other expenses. It's given to you by your therapist or mental health provider to have an idea of what to expect in terms of costs.

A Good Faith Estimate can be adjusted if there are changes in your therapy plan, fee schedules change, or if unforeseen circumstances arise that affect the cost of your treatment. It's important to communicate if you have any questions or if there are changes in your treatment that may impact the estimated costs. We can work together to provide updated estimates and ensure transparency regarding any adjustments to the fees.
